Acer Aspire One Netbook – Acer AOD250-1633 is Well Worth?
Acer Aspire One Netbook
I purchased this Acer Aspire One Netbook in advance of going to a professional conference one month ago and I'm thrilled with its performance. The battery lasts nearly as long as they say (somewhere between 7-8 hours) although less long depending on what applications you are running. The keyboard is quite large enough for easy touch-typing, and the machine runs quietly. It is sufficiently slim that you can put it in a largish handbag and take it just about anywhere.
I got the Windows 7 software version, and then downloaded the free word processing package Windows Beta 2010, which is sufficient for my writing and powerpoint presentation needs. It took a little bit of experimenting to get used to how the applications layout is different from Windows XP, but now I zip around between applications with ease.

The Acer Aspire One Netbook feels very light, but also very sturdy, and the larger 9-hour battery is only slightly heavier than the 3-hour version. So it's well worth it to me to have a little more weight but a lot more running time. An excellent choice for home use and basic work needs. I highly recommend this model.
