CAN I CHANGE THE BATTERY IN MY ACER ASPIRE ONE LAPTOP?

I only got an acer laptop for christmas, and given i had been revelation my relatives which i longed for one with a 6-cell battery, i insincere which was what they paid for me. i already personalized my laptop and put a lot of song in it and stuff. right away i satisfied it’s a 3-cell battery. if i buy a apart 6-cell battery, can i put it in a place of a 3-cell, or will it not fit?

go to acer site with indication series and see, they surport and forums, or a call to a internal tech. though they have been costly, and expected you’ll get 3 hours or some-more from battery we have.

The best resource is to go to Acer’s web site and see if they sell the 6-cell battery as an accessory for your system. If they do, then the battery will work in your system with no problems.
I’m not quite sure, but when you go to buy it, bring your laptop.
It’s hard to know.Write down your laptop model number,and call the acer support.Or go to acer website and see whether they sell the 6 cell batteries for your laptop.If you can’t find more information,maybe you have to continue to use 3 cell battery.

Hi I have the same computer could please help , my screen was crack so used on a big monitor it till order a new LCD and I try to instal it and my laptop stop working . It powers on but it not running to work .. Help I need my acer to work I have acer aspire. One 532h thank you
Very curious as to what you mean by the computer “DIED IN 8 MONTHS”. A reply would be greatly appreciated! Just bought a Kingston 2gb 667mh ddr2 sodimm memory stick… hope i didn’t just purchase death to my netbook! yikes!

@lunchboxpictures ya i have windows 7 ultimate on the same laptop if anybody want the anytime uprade key just add a comment to my page and ill give it to you so i have the same netbook and i have windows 7 ultimate and it works great

@guitarmaster600 i have the same model without the ram upgrade running windows 7 home premium. so to answer your question you CAN run windows 7 home premium on 1gb of ram… also in my opinion its faster.

Hey, man. I got a question for you. I have considered buying this exact model of the acer aspire. I was wondering two things. Since you just put in 2G of memory, does it allow you to put the full version of windows 7 vs. the starter version it comes with? I was told that the ”complete” version windows 7 will only work if there is at least 2G of Memory. Also, does this netbook have the ability to play dvds with just windows 7 starter if you have the dvd drive or do you need the full version?thx
@BigTcz there are other acer 532h with 2gb max memory. it depends on the manufacturer, as posted in support.acer.com. it’s the manufacturer option. Maybe those with 250gbharddrives can be upgraded to 2gb mem

Thanks for posting. I have read in several other places that after changing the ram, we would have to change the ‘bios’? That many have not been able to get the added ram to work without doing that. Not a techie here, would you have instructions on performing that as well? Would really be appreciated. Thanks!

I don’t think, that the netbook will boot up after replacing to 2GB, cause producer says that 1 GB is MAX…
@WGHWAITING I am not the creator of the video, however i do know quite a bit about the aspire one. a couple things. #1) make sure youre using a PC2-5300 667mhz and nothing else. this is the only ram that is compatible with the computer. #2) NO MORE THAN 2 GB. #3) some models of the 532h don’t come with the correct bios for more ram… go to the acer website and download the right ones for more ram.
