I never used it though we have great reviews on it if we usually have it used for word estimate programs and internet usage.
The usually problems we can see is that a little versions use a linux handling that might take a little use to.

Here have been my impressions/opinions on a newest Aspire One Netbook. It’s a initial 11.6″ netbook and comes with a atom Z520 1.33ghz thinly slice and GMA 500. we kept forgetful to discuss things, so you’ll find this examination to be really confused and a bit random.

I think that the only upside is that they’re cheap and portable. They don’t have a CD drive or many USB ports and I don’t think that they’re very powerful. If you want a cheap, mini notebook, look into Dells new mini laptop. Otherwise, get a full sized powerful one.

@hekma …but not sure if this netbook is SSD compatible …im thinking of a 16 GB SSD as most of the other ones are expensive
thank you for your review, I have the same Netbook now , but there is something I overlooked,……..do you know if this kind of netbook be upgraded with an SSD ? ..I have a 250 GB HDD on mine now and Vista as OS and its getting slow ….I want to replace 1 GB ram with 2 GB, XP instead of Vista ,…..and an SSD instead of the HDD
… Rise of Nations is installed and I play! But I have a secret:-I never turn off my Acer, always use hibernation. Do not worry about the battery. A week later, it hibernated, the battery remains at the same level. Today, in my ACER boot only if the system prompts. I love this ACER.
I bought mine in Uruguay. At first I was very upset, because the boot was somewhere around 15 min! Once took over an hour to shut down Windows! i bought the one in Cyprus with 425 euro.2G Ram and 250 G HDD,vista basic
it looking very nice but working very slowly. I’d like to change win xp and i hope that it will be faster.can someone give me some ideas please!
I just got this for $200 and spent another $50 for a 9 cell battery with the money I save. It’s very well built but CPU is under power. You have to do some tweaking…trash pre-install Vista and install your own XP or WIN7…this netbook can do web, emails, music, DVD movies, Youtube….It CAN’T NOT plays Hulu full screen or any HD videos. It can only multitask 2-3 at a time. Great netbook if you don’t use it as your HD media player, blueray. etc….regular DVD movies is fine.

I picked one up to. Did yours come with a 3 cell battery or 6 cell battery? I haven’t opened mine up since I’m still deciding about it and the sales person claimed it comes with the 6 cell.
Windows 7 no way where did you see that? I bought this netbook at Radio shack too and it has the ugly vista basic that is the one thing I don’t like I might try upgrading it window 7 starter if I can a copy of cause microsoft does not sell a retail version it is a nice netbook I don’t know why they put vista on it.
I just got this netbook on black friday 2009 at The Shack AKA Radio Shack they had it on sale for $249.00 it too has Vista basic, youtibe streamed video seem to work fine for me. it is al litle slow when open apps. The reselution looks great.
