Okay, here it is. we only not long ago upgraded my computer to Windows Vista. we didn’t have a CD–ROM or DVD-ROM expostulate so we commissioned it off a opposite computer. It worked, a OS was installed, though half my drivers weren’t commissioned correctly. So my subject is this, were can we get a Ethernet Controller for my acer Aspire One AOD250? Any assistance will be most obliged.

Hi, thanks for the test, very nice indeed. My friend is looking for some very basic notebook or netbook. As I’m not a pro in this section, never had a netbook in my hands, I kind of searched through some web stores and found out this one. Your test gave me an idea, it should be the right one. Lightweight, sufficient performance and bla bla. But, in your test, you’re signing in Skype. Does normally take so long to login / signin when not installing other programms?
Hi Ian,no it shows you the correct info.Just make sure you go amd vision engine control center and set the cpu at 1000mhz,factory default is set at 800mhz and also download the new catalyst package 11.5 from amd home,if you haven’t done already.

Thanks for the reply, i’ll check that out and try a N wifi dongle i’ve got. Just one question, when i right click on the video and then press “show video information” it shows that its “software rendering” and “software decoding” should that be there or should it read “Hardware decoding” as i imagine?
Chrome does seem to play them faster but not perfectly but i’ll try and let it load completely when i try it later.

@ianhardy28 There is no need to upgrade to flash 10.3 use chrome it’s built in.I use IE9 with 10.1 which uses way less ram when running youtube or hulu.Your problem most likely is your wifi connection at least it was for me until i install a more powerful adapter (with a 7 dbi antenna) than the one that comes with the 522 (broadcom).Hope this helps.
Great reviews convinced me to get one and its a great machine, HD local files play well and can stream through Boxee or XBMC really smoothly. I can’t seem to figure flash hardware acceleration though, installed the latest flash and the 720p files play but not that smoothly and the 1080p files very jerkily. Anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks for the review,I purchased the same one and after all the upgrading and removing some bloatware like mc afee and norton used(REVO uninstaller) my experience is a little different ,it wouldn’t play you tube 720p or 1080p you tube.I downloaded the AMD catalyst driver,latest K-Lite codecs pack.What am I doing wrong?Thanks

ps. If I have to use this netbook to record some vocal or guitar via Cubase or Logic software, is this netbook still work fine ? (just a little outdoor record that’s all)
ps. What about converting some movie or song files, is it ok ?

thanks for the review. great review that i can find so far about this 522. I got a question about this netbook; how is the heat tempurature, does it get hot after playing a few multitasks for 20 to 30 minutes?
