UBUNTU OR XP ON MY NEW ACER ASPIRE ONE NETBOOK?

So, that one should i implement on my new netbook, a Acer Aspire One? we have most knowledge with both of them for a prolonged time, and ;like both of them similarly though that one is right for my netbook?

Just give both a go. Remember you can try Ubuntu out with the Live CD so you can try it out without installing it to make sure it works well with your hardware.
You could also run a dual boot, so you will have both operating systems installed and you choose which one you want to use each time you boot up your laptop
I prefer xp because it has been many years with us. I also have tried ubuntu but it always update their program. I really dont like this way. Always update programs and software. Xp updates their os every day but their update oly important patch or security description. Take xp.
Go for Ubuntu simply because the Acer Aspire One is a small laptop with little power to it. Ubuntu will run a lot smoother than Windows XP ever could on that thing.

Please use Windows XP for continuity of service. If linux screws up its harder to get help. If you’re experienced in linux thats different. I got XP on my Acer i bought online at Netbook2.com. Microsoft is always better even if it makes Bill Gates richer…lol

@kaybeenanu I actually liked this one, but…. I wasn’t using it as much as I hoped for, and I really needed the money for something else. In the end, they are just a little too underpowered for me.

The battery is rechargeable because the one i have now needs another battery to purchase and that is annoying, if u could tell me that would be great. nice vid also

there ya go… I unfortunately just took mine back to Target. I wasn’t using it as much as I had wanted to, plus we are using the money to help pay for the house remodel. I will buy another one sometime in the future.
just called target all sold out, and at 250 each, Amazon has em for 270, and they offer a full 3 year warr for 70 bucks more, drop and spill included i guess since all sold out at target then might as well amazon

@Peace217 You can’t do that because you’ve got windows 7 starter edition. change it to ultimate or something else and there’ll be no problem. I hope this helps.
ps and its not only on this netbook, w 7 starter is standart for all netbooks
the only thing that i think sucks about this acer is that u cant change the desktop theme at all , any one know how too ?
