It’s hard to tell by the description. I think it is not the machine so much as a software problem. Maybe the files themselves are bad. Go to “Control Panel”, Open “Sounds and Audio Devices”. Take a look around in there and make sure your devices are configured the way you need them to be. There is a troubleshooter in there that can help. I don’t know what level of operations you are capable of, but it’s a good idea to go in and have a look anyway. Learning your way around inside your machine will help you forever.
